How Do You Tune a Bass?
The bass tuner above will help you get your bass in perfect tune! But how do you use it? Follow these steps to get your bass in tune.
- Beginning with the G string. Press “Play” next to G above to begin playing the tone.
- Turn the tuning machine for the G string to match the pitch. If the pitch sounds like it’s getting further away, turn the other way. Caution: Don’t overtighten! Turning the tuning machine too tight can lead to the string breaking. Instead, rotate it a few millimeters at a time.
- Repeat for the remainder of the strings.
